The Frosh continued to show there dominance, garnering a meet record in the Frosh DMR. The team of Tom Louro, Greg Oliva, Victor Morales & Jed McMullin ran 8:30.18 to take the record by less than a second. Another St. A's team took 2nd. (Sorry guys, I don't have names yet.).
The Frosh 4X400 crew of Ryan Cannon, Will Henfling, Tom Louro & Jed McMullin claimed the top prize.
One other team took home the gold for the Frosh, those being the 4X200 team of Mozai Nelson, Brandon Perpall, Marlon Montaque & Greg Oliva. The Frosh Shot team of Victor Morales (who won the event individually) 40'8 1/2" and Joe Segreto (34' 3 1/2")
took 2nd place honors. The shot team of Mike Savalli (31'6") & Andrew Piracha (28'4") took 4th.
On the Varsity side, Jake Hensler led the day off in grand style, winning the 3K steeplechase by nearly 30 seconds over his nearest rival. Continuing on the track, in the 4X1600m run we took 1st & 3rd, the teams being Bobby Ferrara, Tom Thieke, Tim Fiola & Matt Taddeo for the win. Sean Fitzgerald, Austin Bitzas, Chris Regan and Nolan Hayes were the 3rd place team.
In the 4X200, Napoleon Zapata, Eric Slater, Gene Kum & Stanton Ridley took 2nd. In the 4X400, Napoleon, Stanton, Eric & Peter Carew placed 5th.
In the DMR, the guys took 2nd, 5th & 6th. Matt Fortino, Tim FIola, Nick Mazzucca & Nick Kaufmann led the Friars effort. Will Isenberg, Mike Chaney, Jon Licandro & Nick Aprigliano took 5th.
The Soph 4X200 team claimed 3rd. (again sorry no names).
Out in the field events, we again did well. The High Jump combo of Cameron Black (5'10) & Skandel Delince (5'2) took 2nd. In the Long Jump the duo of Eric Macaluso (17'11 1/4") and Genis Guzman (16'11) took home the gold.
In the Pole Vault it was a clean sweep, taking the top 3 spots.
Winning the event and leading the winning duo was Mike Brunoforte (13') and Matt Pluhowski (11').
Brian Doyle (10') & Max Schapfel (8'6) were 2nd and
Chris Petersen (8') & Tyler Thiele (8') were 3rd.
In the Shot Put, we took 2nd & 5th, the teams being
Keith Gallagher (41'7 1/2) &
Bryan Rhodes (41' 7) took 2nd
while Blake Walton (38'11) & Chris Hand (38'9) were 5th.
In the Javlin, Keith Gallagher (134'10) & Bryan Rhodes (127'6) claimed 2nd.
In the Discus, Chris Hand led the winning team (and took the individual title) throwing 135'3", with Tom Harty (120'1).
Taking 3rd was Jack Gamble (109') and Blake Walton (108').
