On Saturday past, the ladies took a short road trip up to Van Cortlandt Park to compete in the Villa Bears Invitational. The Freshpeople led off the day, finishing in 2nd as a team. Leading the team was Alexa Ogilvie (5th overall) with Victoria Pileggi (8th), Elizabeth Kelsch (9th), Gianna Signorille (11th), Caroline Kechejian (12th), Delaney Miller (16th) and Jade Brennan (21st) rounding out the scoring.
In the J-V race, the ladies equaled the Freshmen, also taking a team second. Liz Fallon led the team taking 3rd with Lauren Kerl (5th), Kelsey Kettell (6th), Katherine Kechejian (8th), Lauren Reinertsen (9th), Megan Kennedy (13th) and Kristi Pentecost rounding out the scoring in 21st. The J-V squad missed 1st place by a single point. Great job Ladies!!
The Varsity squad ran into some very tough competition, having to settle for a team 3rd place finish. The team was led by Lauren Lavaro who finished in 3rd. Next in for the Lady Friars was Veronica Leddy (17th), Victoria Ciotti (19th), Kathleen Westervel (39th), Danielle Cornell (40th), Kayden Becker (41st) and Mariella Billelo (69th).
The Ladies will next be in action on Wed. in a dual meet vs. Our Lady of Mercy Academy and St. Dominicks. Their weekend action will take them away overnight to Rhode Island and the Ocean State Invitational .
