Girl's Sweep all Titles

Guy's take 2 of 3

 

On Sunday last, the teams competed in the NSCHSAA League Championship.  The day started off well with the Frosh boy's "B" team taking the crown, with race winner being our own Brian Kreider, followed by Kyle Haley (2), Kevin Solar (3) Pat Hurd (4), Greg Oliva (7), Mike Perniciaro (13) and Chris Coady (17) rounding out the top scorers.

The Frosh Ladies next took to the course and started the ladies team on their sweep.  Stephanie Leo led all runners for the win, with Danielle Bulino (3), Katiya Meringolo (4), Delaney Worth (6), Gina D'Angelo (10) Jamie Citera (11) and Julia Monoco (17) as our top 7 finishers.

The Frosh boy's "A" team was next up and they didn't disappoint.  They were led by Tom Louro (3), Jed McMullin (4), Ryan Cannon (5), Ryan Kerwick (7), Louis Santelli (8), Kieran O'Shea (9) and Joe Russ (10) to capture the victory.

The Varsity Harriers were next out and started the day on the 5K course.  While we fell short by 3 points, Tom Diliberto provided a bright spot by winning the title "League Champion" in an impressive 16:27 time.  Tom was followed by Tom Flynn (7), Kevin Kreider (8), Jake Hensler (12), Tom Thieke (14), Matt Fortino (19) and Frank Segreto (20).  The outcome of the race was in doubt until the official scores came out, the race was that close.

The Lady's Varsity squad brought the team back to it's winning ways.  The ladies were led by Gabriella Vezza (5) with Lauren Lavoro right behind her (7), Victoria Ciotti (9), Lauren Fontana (12), Kerri-Anne Flynn (14), Mariella Bilello (19) and Sloan Russ (26). 

The JV squads took to the course next, with the guys first and taking the victory and claiming the top spot.  Brian Smith led the team in, with Justin Blair close behind (2), Bobby Ferrara (4), Chris Regan (6), Matt Taddeo (7), Will Isenberg (8) and Tim Fiola (11). 

The Ladies ended the day with the final victory for the girls.  Alex Russo led all runners in with Lizzie Gomez next (3), Kathleen Westervelt (4), Nicole Krawczyk (6), Veronica Leddy (9), Katie Skrypek (10) and Shannon McGahan (12) filling out the top 7 spots.
